is to perpetuate and preserve the Hawaiian Culture by:
Ke Po‘okela Cultural Foundation (KPCF) is a non-profit organization whose purpose
is to perpetuate and preserve the Hawaiian Culture by:
- Providing a hula hālau (school) of formal education and training in the disciplines of
traditional Hawaiian hula, including dance, music, language, values and traditions,
history, arts and crafts.
- Hula Hālau Nameakanu O Laka O Hawai‘i is a traditional school of hula,
established in 1985 by Kumu Hula Rolanda Valentin Reese in Southern California.
- Providing a Performing Arts Dance Company: Kilohana Perfomring Arts Center to
present various Productions
- Promote and cultivate the discovery and resurgence of our Hawaiian cultural heritage,
through the utilization of Cultural Workshops, Lectures And Concert Performances. - Provide Study tours to Hawai‘i for the students of the Hula Hālau and family members.
- Providing travel scholarships for students to attend the Kamehameha Schools Hawaiian
Exploration Program.
- Providing college scholarship opportunities.
- Participating in various fundraising events in support of the Hawaiian community.
- Organizing community events that bring visibility and revenue to the Hawaiian
community.
