Starting the 2011 season, Kilohana has begun formulating their second creative production
called Nā Ka‘ao  the Legends of Hawai’i  which
is scheduled for Saturday, October, 29,
2011, at 7:00 pm at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.

Nā Ka‘ao explores two different Hawaiian legends intertwined with love, hate, revenge, and
broken promises.   The musical wizardry of James Kimo West, composer, musical arranger,
award winning entertainer and famed guitarist, adds a warm touch to the production.  West’s
musical score compliments the vocalists, creating a jazzy and classy touch to the
production.

What makes Nā Ka‘ao different from Kilohana’s previous production is the expanded roles
of the dancers to include singing and acting.   This production transcends into a complete
“first of its kind” Hawaiian musical play.  As Kilohana moves forward their newest production
continues to remain true to the traditional roots of Hawaiian dance, and, respectfully takes
pride in representing the most innovative modern and contemporary trends in hula.

Look for highly spirited and innovative projects for the 2012 season and beyond.
