Ke Po`okela literally translates to “Excellence”.  KPCF works to excel in preserving and perpetuating the
Hawaiian culture by providing formal education in the study of Hawaiian arts and crafts, dance, music,
language, values, traditions and history.  In addition to educating and entertaining those close to the Hawaiian
community, we strive to make Hawaiian culture more highly visible to the public at large by conducting
seminars, workshops and concerts and participating in multi-cultural community events.  Since 1987, KPCF
sponsored events have featured well known performers, craftsmen and educators from Hawai`i.  These
